The 2025 theme, 鈥淗istory at All Costs?鈥, examined how economics has influenced societies throughout history and how studying past economic crises 鈥 such as the Great Depression and the 2008 financial crisis 鈥 can inform strategies for addressing current challenges.
At the event, the Observatory launched its second Thematic Report, 鈥,鈥 produced with education authorities from OHTE member states and experts from the , overseen by the .
The programme included plenary sessions, an Oxford-style debate between history students and policymakers, and keynote addresses on history, politics, and democracy.
